Vaccination
Vaccines help the body produce protective antibodies, proteins that help fight infections. By getting vaccinated, you can protect yourself and prevent preventable diseases from being spread to others in your community. Vaccinations protect your child from serious diseases such as polio, which can cause paralysis; measles, which can cause brain inflammation and blindness; and tetanus, which can cause painful muscle spasms and difficulty eating and breathing, especially in newborns.
